Shepherd Shaw specialises in the provision of commercial advice relating to investment in and financing of infrastructure, providing services to both public and private sector clients. Shepherd Shaw is particularly strong in the conceptualisation, origination, evaluation, financing and procurement of complex projects, including through Public Private Partnerships and similar arrangements such as concession agreements. Shepherd Shaw provides services across the asset lifecycle from origination of a project/transaction through to disposal of the asset: • Origination and evaluation: strategic analysis and advice; financial and economic modelling and options appraisal; risk assessment and management; stakeholder analysis; preparation of business cases; due diligence • Structuring and financing: identification of partners; arranging debt and equity finance; procurement strategy; market testing • Management of acquisition, bid and sale processes: management of financial, legal, accounting and technical advisory teams; preparation of bid documents, information memoranda, expressions of interest and requests for tender; negotiations with private and government counterparties and partners. Shepherd Shaw has undertaken work across a broad range of sectors: • Infrastructure: social and affordable housing, water supply and treatment, accommodation, power (conventional, wind, wave, tidal, hydro), solid waste (waste to energy), transport (roads, rail, ports, pipelines), telecommunications and industrial facilities (e.g. abattoirs, sugar refineries, gas plants, mines, oil and gas facilities) • Real Estate: residential, commercial; office, retail.
