We are working NGO since 1998 for the development of community and women's issues. we are working to uplift the poor and uneducated women or rural areas of Nepal by making them skillful so that they will able to participate in income generation activities which will help to educate their children to pay for their children school fee and able to change their life style in the society we are making train with the fair trade principal in handicrafts making because of low investment but which will return better than other occupation so we are looking such partner or supporter to market their products in the international level. I hope your little effort will plays vital role in this chain job to get their rights. we requested to convey our voice in your network Women Empowerment through Tourism The homestay programme has just started and received only small amount of tourists with limited space of accommodation available in this early stage.Whatever they will do traveling package program, 4% of total they spend money will help to raise the fund in our social fund SHEWD planned to tap on knitting market in Europe and United State through networking with the international tourists who visited the areas. It was hoped that the tourists will buy the knitting items and assist SHEWD in certain aspects to explore the potential market for knitting products in their home countries Economic Empowerment The economic empowerment of women in terms of monetary was found not significant in this stage. There are also opportunities for others who are not involved directly in the homestay programme in terms of local food supply for food and beverage of tourists groups and when the tourists buy something directly from the local market. Social Empowerment The sense of cohesion and integrity has been confirmed and strengthened through meetings, discussions, having activities together for homestay programme.
