Shida Architecture

SHIDA Architecture SHIDA was a speculative architectural work group with its origins in India, that started sometime during 2005-06 in a dormitory for Sir J J School of Architecture, Mumbai. Its main 'area of concern' was the possibility of architectures suited for the aspirations of the emergent consumerism in India & South Asia, post 2025. The practice’s conceptual work ranged in scale from envisioning skyscrapers for the near future, Project: INDOSTAR & University Campuses and Resort Complexes, to as small as a discrete full body tattoo for a Financial Analyst from Manhattan. The scope of SHIDA's expertise encompasses Masterplans, the design of Sustainable Urban & Rural Community Buildings, High end luxurious Interior Designing, Brand Identity Development and Product Design. There is also a strong interest in intelligent Building Facade Engineering, that arise out of seeing Architecture as our Third Skin, after biological skin and our clothes. SHIDA was based out of New Delhi & London for the most part of its timeline. Our collaborators included architects, designers and Urban Designers spread across the globe. Shida also represented globally reputed architecture practices in India. Shida is NOW PERMANENTLY TERMINATED from active practice. Heartfelt Thanks for your interest in our work.
