Facet Underwriting was established in 2006 to provide good service and value to clients whose size makes them unattractive to larger underwriters. Initially entering the fine art and specie markets, Facet has decided to expand into the Marine market providing Protection & Indemnity, Cargo and General Marine Liability cover. Facet resists the trend of rising administration and regulation costs by exploring efficiencies only a small organisation can, while still maintaining a world wide presence through a trusted network of associates. Facet Underwriting handles this business, efficiently and inexpensively whilst ensuring thorough risk management and responsible underwriting. SHINC Represents Facet by writing Marine P&I and General Marine Liability risks with all underwriting activities conducted by Richard Lovett and John Grenville-Goble. SHINC actively seeks out accounts with consistently good records (Average Net Loss Ratio < 40%) to write 100% lines for small shipowners seeking modest policy limits. Our A- rated [*2] insurance programme ensures peace of mind to our Assureds. SHINC seeks small to medium sized ship-owners and/or ship-managers operating local / regional /coastal vessels.
