The protection and enhancement of the physical and mental health of seafarers ensures healthy and happy crews and instills into their thinking, that their employer is taking care of them and has consideration of their well-being very high on his agenda. In order to achieve the above goals, we implement a combination of testing, diagnosis, dietary guidance, sanitation guidelines, medical and psychological monitoring and support in real time and worldwide. We are a team of physicians of different specialties based in Greece and supported by a web of specialists and medical centers in Greece and globally, mainly concentrated in main shipping hubs with regional cover. SERVICES A. PRE-EMPLOYMENT EVALUATION & PREVENTION 1. Exercise due diligence on pre joining medical examinations according to ‘Flag’, or company instructions. Establishing re-employment prerequisites following serious illness (hospitalization, operation etc.) 3. Alcoholism Detection by questionnaire 4. Alcoholism and general health evaluation by blood testing (when feasible). Mental Health Evaluation by questionnaire 6. Medical e-file of seafarer B. VESSELS-SEAFARER MED CARE 1. 24/7 Consultation by telemedicine (tele-EKG, oximeter, blood pressure, temperature, picture, sound). ShipMedCare medical team in collaboration with Team of Specialists. 2nd Opinion – Surveillance of medical reports and management of patient (ShipMedCare medical team in collaboration with medical centers in major ports). Follow up of patient/case and guidance for further medical actions if needed. Cooperation with P&I for follow-up of medical claims. Medical information by bulletins, CD, DVD. Dietary protocol for seafarers. Surveillance and control of medical expenses (port med. examinations, hospitalization etc.). Medical e-file (seafarer medical history, events etc.). C.
