It only takes 5 minutes for a mourner, relative, funeral director, synagogue representative or friend to enter information on a private page that includes: funeral and shiva dates, times, places, mourners’ contact information, synagogue affiliations, family charitable requests, food notes and who to call if you have a question. A direct link to that personal’ Shiva Registry’ can then be emailed, texted, tweeted, posted on Facebook or found through a search on ShivaConnect’s home page. With “just a click,” well- wishers learn funeral & sitting shiva details, get interactive directions, make charitable contributions, view/ post food already expected, find local delis in our zipcode database, read eulogies and send messages of condolence to mourners. Creating a ‘Shiva Registry’ helps families minimize confusion, unnecessary phone calls and wasted food, while maximizing support and memorial donations to their requested charities.
