Shock Wave Engineering
Shock Wave Engineering is an Agricultural IoT product designer and manufacturer based in the Midlands in KZN, South Africa. Our WHY: With most of South Africa’s electricity generation being carbon-based, reducing consumption is crucial. Our mission at Shock Wave Engineering is to minimise carbon emissions and save water, through our range of IoT monitoring and control systems developed specifically for farms. HOW: Our cloud-based IoT technology and automation systems collect and analyse energy consumption data, enabling us to implement solutions and track savings and system performance remotely. WHAT: For farmers, this means managing pumps, centre pivots, reservoirs, dairies, feed silos and permaset irrigation systems via an app: monitoring and controlling parameters, automating the remote stopping and starting of equipment, setting alerts to safeguard equipment and ensuring equipment does not fail. The outcome is that processes function correctly; energy and water consumption are reduced; farmers save time and equipment is protected from failure.
