SHOHOJODDHA” is a national digital platform that connects the Plasma donors and recipients in Bangladesh through healthcare providers. The ICT division, Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), A2i, ICT innovation Lab, Centre for Research and Information (CRI) and eGeneration have initiated the platform in Bangladesh to facilitate the collection and distribution of plasma from coronavirus recovered patients. The platform is available to cater to the people of the country. Due to the spread of coronavirus, we require a response of unprecedented scale to keep our citizens safe and healthy. To create the rapid response against coronavirus organizations like Dhaka Medical College (DMC), Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), United Hospital, Pulse Health, Pravaa Health, Iwell, Pathao, Shohoz, BAGDOOM, Chaldal and Bangladesh Super Market Owners’ Association have become partners of this initiative. Our platform is the manifestation of the ideology to bring technology innovation to our health sector. Through collaboration and innovation, we hope that our alliance will help accelerate the creation of a healthy environment. The demand for plasma from those who have recently recovered from a confirmed coronavirus diagnosis has soared in recently. The platform in designed and initiated to support the health sector to manage the demand and supply of plasma from the recovered patients. In the platform donors can register to create a digital plasma bank in Bangladesh for the patients infected by coronavirus. The digital plasma network will enable infected patients to search and collect necessary plasma in case of a doctor prescribes convalescent plasma therapy.
