Shorashim Elementary School

Shorashim Elementary School is Israel’s first elementary school that implements and uses PBL (Project Based Learning) methods to teach its students progressive and critical thinking. Students engage in solving real-world challenges over an extended period of time, which results in creating an actual product or presentation for a real audience. Using PBL methodology encourages students to gain knowledge in different fields, encourages their creativity and communication skills and stimulates their curiosity. Shorashim School has a strong environmental and agricultural orientation and is the first school in Israel to combine new teaching methods with these emphases in its curriculum.
