Short Ends

Short Ends is an online collective publication based in Montréal, QC - Canada founded in 2021 by a group of individuals dedicated to sharing their passion for film. We are an active and enthusiastic platform that aims to provide a space where every aspect of cinema can be discussed, explored and contended. We are concerned with creating critical and personal material that showcases thorough research and analytical & interpretative thinking without ascribing to academic structures. With a focus on films and/or topics that may fly under the mainstream radar, we hope to give a spotlight to a cinema that yearns to be seen and heard. Our quarterly publications cover a general theme or concept that branches out to and through a myriad of films and filmmakers featuring critical and analytical essays.
