Shotton Mill Limited

Shotton Mill Limited is constructing one of the largest and most technologically advanced paper mills in Europe, at its site in Deeside, North Wales. When operational, we will have the capacity to manufacture tonnes per year of containerboard and tonnes per year of tissue paper, potentially increasing to tonnes. The Shotton site is a model of sustainability, using 100% recycled materials in containerboard production and harvesting recycled waste wood and biomass to use in green energy. An essential part of the circular economy initiative at the site will be the installation of a hydrogen enabled CHP plant, generating low carbon energy to sustainably power the mills operation, together with biogass resulting from anaerobic digestion based effluent treatment.
