Shrink-Comp Europe was formed to promote and implement Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete in Europe. Shrink-Comp Europe’s core business includes the full range of services pertinent to Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete construction with main focus on Joint-Less Concrete Flooring for Industrial Facilities. We do consulting and our expertise entails industrial floor design, concrete mix design, and field supervision & quality control during the time of construction. There is very little known about Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete in Europe. Unlike in the United States where it is a thriving industry for the construction of structures like industrial floors, water containment structures, waste water treatment plants, post-tensioned slabs, bridge decks etc. Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete can completely eliminate shrinkage cracking. If shrinkage cracking of concrete is highly undesirable due to durability or aesthetic issues, Shrinkage-Compensating Concrete will mitigate these problems.
