The use of medicinal mushrooms in Natural Health, is currently one of the most exciting trends emerging worldwide. And mounting scientific evidence backs-up millennia of traditional use. Shrooms For Improvement is a mushroom company which was established in 2016. We grow medicinal & gourmet mushrooms & produce medicinal mushroom extracts which are used as nutritional supplements to support one's overall health & wellbeing. The huge difference between us and other medicinal mushroom sellers in South Africa is that we grow our own medicinal mushrooms. In general, most medicinal mushrooms are imported from the East. We currently grow 3 different medicinal mushrooms (Reishi, Cordyceps & Lion's Mane) and though we are a relatively new start-up company, we pride ourselves on the quality of our supplements and our exacting standards. We also offer classes so that the public can learn how to grow Oyster, Shiitake & other mushrooms on their own as well as supply many of the different accoutrements that are part and parcel of cultivating mushrooms successfully at home. All our mushrooms are grown seasonally in our specialised grow rooms. The formation and quality of the mushrooms /fruiting bodies produced are highly dependent on what is used to grow them on, so we use ingredients of the highest quality to support mushroom growth. Our locally grown mushrooms are wholesome and fresh and they are minimally processed so that the quality of our extracts remain uncompromised. Our mission is to educate people about the benefits of edible & medicinal mushrooms and to teach them how to cultivate mushrooms simply, in an environmentally conscious way; and how to supplement their nutritional & dietary requirements safely and competently.
