SICTA conducts research, development and validation activities in relation to ATM domain innovation, participating in national and European research projects, playing an important role in the European field as the Italian R&D lab for ATM/CNS. SICTA's main activities include: •the definition, analysis and validation of advanced operational concepts, scenarios and procedures consistent with most recent ATM/CNS technologies and compliant with the implementation plans of national and international bodies. •the design and development and validation of supporting tool prototypes for Air Traffic Control operations and their integration in validation platforms. •the design of System architectures. •the design and validation of new Airspace configuration.
