Founded in November 2020, the School of Interdisciplinary Design and Innovation (SIDI) at Kancheepuram has emerged as an educational trailblazer. Responding to the transformative shifts of 2020, SIDI embraces a design-centric paradigm, departing from conventional teaching methodologies. Aligned with the National Education Policy 2020, our emphasis on student-centric networks ushers in a new era of learning and innovation. With a dedicated team of 12 experienced professors and 44 students, SIDI places a premium on fostering creativity and adaptability. In a brief span, SIDI has filed 17+ design patents, showcasing a remarkable commitment to innovation. Navigating challenges posed by the pandemic, we've created an inclusive environment, transcending traditional boundaries. SIDI is more than an institution; it's a collaborative ecosystem where students and faculty collaborate seamlessly. Our specialized labs in Bio-inspired design, Biomedical device design, Material Selection and testing, and Smart wearable device design reflect our commitment to practical, hands-on learning.
