There is a greater realization about the importance of data and analytics across the industry and businesses. There are new innovations and challenges arising in the role and adoption of analytics in business. SIGnalytics aims to provide students a platform where they can discuss issues and ideas surrounding analytics. The Big Data Analytics ecosystem is changing at a rapid pace and new technologies, business models and their deployment is the key for efficiency, innovation and competitiveness of the business. The aim of this Special Interest Group – Analytics (SIGnalytics) is to provide a fertile ground for discussion, brainstorming ideas and opportunities. The SIGnalytics envisions to be a platform where some of the leading experts from industry, corporates, entrepreneurs and academicians can share their experiences and vision. This SIG aims to be a hub for students where they can look for resources for learning, share their ideas and findings, tutorials, competitions and career opportunities. Objectives of the Committee/SIG: i. A platform for students where they can discuss issues and ideas surrounding analytics. ii. To organize lecture, seminars and workshops where some of the leading experts from industry, corporate, entrepreneurs and academicians can share their experience and vision. To organise student events like competition, case presentations, hackathon etc. iv. Industry interaction and career guidance events. v. A platform for information, tutorials, data, cases surround big data analytics.
