Silikon Tech is a corporation based in the Philippines that provides technical expertise in the Internet of Things, electronic design, wireless technologies, and software development. Silikon Technologies Inc, was born in the City of Legazpi when its founders Fred D. Chua and Mark M. Jimenez envisioned creating a true Internet-of-Things company in the Philippines, that would help cater to the needs of the diverse industries of the community. They picked the name SILIKON (no, it’s not misspelled *wink*) which is a play between, Silicon Valley the global tech center for technology in the world and SILI which is the local name for chili, the spice the Bicol region is well known for. Months later, the rest of the team joined, all sharing the same passion and vision for innovation which makes Silikon Technologies a company deeply rooted in the values of solution-based technology.
