Silkroad Production est une société indépendante de production de long métrages basée à Paris et fondée en juillet par Setareh Farsi et Behrooz Hashemian. Silkroad est spécialisée dans les coproductions internationales, principalement avec l’Europe, l’Asie Centrale, les Balkans et les pays méditerranéens et dont les projets s’appuient sur de jeunes talents internationaux. Les fondateurs ont acquis leur expérience et leurs compétences dans plusieurs domaines de l’industrie du film, de la production à la vente internationale, de façon à gérer à la fois les aspects artistiques et commerciaux de la production. Silkroad’s productions include Pandora’s Box (Yesim Ustaoglu-TR) Golden Shell & Silver Shell for Best Actress/San Sebastian 08, I am from Titov Veles (Teona Mitevsta-MC) premiered in Berlin 08, Half Moon (Bahman Ghobadi-IR), Golden Shell/San Sebastian 06. Waiting (Rashid Masharawi-Palestine), premiered in Venice 2005, Border Café (Kambozia Partovi-IR), Waiting for the Clouds (Yesim Ustaoglu-TR) winner of the Sundance/NHK Filmmakers Award 2003 for best European script, premiered in Berlin 05.
