Solidification, Imaging & Mathematical Modelling of Materials & Processes (SIM3P) is a research group led by Dr. André Phillion at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at McMaster University. Our group is dedicated to advancing the frontiers of solidification science and material characterization, focusing on cutting-edge technologies in casting, welding, and additive manufacturing. We employ innovative 3D imaging techniques and advanced modelling approaches to explore and understand materials and their behaviors during various processing conditions.
