Singing For Sri Lanka

Founded by the Sri Padmasambhava Buddhist Temple, Singing For Sri Lanka is a fundraising initiative committed to providing for Sri Lankan children in need. Originally created to raise funds for children affected by the Easter terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, our organisation now focuses on providing long term scholarships for underprivileged children. In Sri Lanka today, hundreds of children struggle to afford school supplies and basic living necessities. Singing For Sri Lanka fundraises through festivals, charity concerts and donations to sponsor these children in need. We focus on providing financial stability in the long term, rather than one-off donations. Our scholarships last until the child is permanently employer after becoming an adult, or have graduated from high education (university/college). Singing For Sri Lanka was proud to be featured in Sri Lankan national TV and radio in 2019, in partnership with the Young Mens Buddhist Association (YMBA) in Kandy. Currently we are expanding to aid more families in Sri Lanka that are struggling through the pandemic.
