Sinha Capoeira, Inc

Sinha Capoeira is an organization dedicated to the growth and development of the African-Brazilian martial art called Capoeira. Through its many artistic expressions we share, create awareness and enhance knowledge of Capoeira. Our mission is to provide children, teens and adults the opportunity to learn Capoeira, its practices, history and culture. We promote the art of Capoeira to youth based organizations in Massachusetts by providing training and performance opportunities. Our goal is to help enable young people to develop self-worth, focus and competency by learning this martial art. And to allow youth to participate in educational, challenging and entertaining events. Sinha Capoeira helps those who are not able to afford the cost. Through Capoeira training, Sinha Capoeira brings positive influences into the lives of young people along with health and fitness benefits of systematic exercises. We build and strengthen the community by offering classes in Capoeira, music, Brazilian Portuguese language as well as after-school programs. We hold performances for educational and other community based organizations. Sinha Capoeira contributes to the efforts to increase diversity and culture in the community.
