Founded in 2015 by Lauren Atkinson, Sitting Pretty was based on the idea of creative freedom. With a steady job at some of the most popular studios, Lauren found that: “Working for larger studios gave me all the exposure I needed, but left much to be desired in terms of creative legroom and experimentation. I wanted my own creative freedom – the freedom to be able to put my own interpretation of a brand on paper.” Like any other new venture, Sitting Pretty had its fair share of minor hiccups. “My first big break came about from networking; I was hired to develop an entire brand from scratch. It was one of the most exciting things I had done. You never really forget that feeling; the rest is history.” Recalls Lauren.
