Waterborne Polyurethane Dispersions (PUDs) use water as the primary solvent. With increasing environmental laws and regulations around the world, PUDs as environmentally friendly new materials are being used in many industrial and commercial applications. Today, PUDs are typically stable, easy-to-use, and exhibit properties similar to solvent-based systems. These systems may be formulated as ambient-cured (air-dried) or baked coatings for flexible and rigid substrates—such as flooring, fabric, leather, metal, plastics, and paper. Additionally, PUD’s are used in graphic art inks, adhesives for automotive interior, shoes, textiles, and can be the coats on many products. SIWO US is a research-based company with major businesses in PUDs. The company has a long history in the research and manufacturing of waterborne polymers, dating back as far as 1995. SIWO US has two large production bases in Shanghai and Shandong Province, China. They offer various PUDs products and technologies to meet the performance demands of many industrial coating and adhesive applications.
