Siyakwazi

Siyakwazi is an outreach-focused NPO that supports children with disabilities and barriers to learning. We focus our interventions in kwaNzimakwe and kwaXolo - two tribal authorities in rural KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We know 1 in 10 children may experience a disability (UNICEF, 2021) and we believe that the current South African education system falls short in supporting children with differing needs, which is complicated further in poverty-stricken neighbourhoods without access to appropriate resources, facilities and healthcare. Our Inclusion Programme, School Readiness Programme and Early Learning Programme (0-2 years)- bolstered by therapy services, specialised resources, nutritional support, skills development initiatives and guardian support - ensure a holistic approach in supporting children with disabilities and barriers to learning.
