Skiers Access

In February 2015, two Swedish skiers, Malin Carlsson and Filip Hedberg sat in the large dining room at Hotel Schönegg in a snowy Wengen, Switzerland. The experience of the fantastic skiing during the day, in harmony with the delicious champagne in the light of the fireplace in the dining room, gave not only a calm but also room for a creative mindset and slow living in a fantastic setting. This was the beginning of skibum50plus, now developed in to a non profit organization with the goal to increase health among mature and older people by getting them on snow and to continuing alpine skiing higher up in the age. Also to support young people’s interest for alpine skiing as a healthy activity with joy in the clubs filial Skiers Access.
