An old neighbor has a new name. For more than 80 years, Duncan Oil has been supplying many of us in western North Carolina with home heating oil and commercial fuels. This past month the company was purchased by an Atlanta-based firm and renamed Skyview Energy. Skyview Energy plans to expand its services and geographic coverage, bringing new features to customers in the area. “We’re very excited to be a part of this community," said Livia Whisenhunt, the company’s CEO. “Customers will continue to enjoy the same friendly and reliable service they’ve trusted for generations, and now, they’ll also be able to take advantage of additional offerings, including tank monitoring and HVAC support.
