Exploring Robotics in Space Join us on an exciting journey as we delve into the potential of robotics in space! This page will document our innovative ESA Academy Experiment, which involves creating a microgravity platform equipped with a robotic arm. Our goal is to enable the robotic arm to attach to anchor points and maneuver both itself and the platform. This will be achieved through manual programming and reinforcement learning techniques. The experiment is in collaboration with Advanced Robotics & AI group (ARAI) and AAU Space Robotics Lab lead by Simon Bøgh at the Department of Electronic Systems and has support from the ESA Academy. It is being carried out by 4th and 10th semester students at Aalborg University, all of whom are also part of the ESA Academy program. Stay tuned for updates and insights as we push the boundaries of space robotics!
