Slam-T

When people ask us to describe Slam-T, it’s hard to find the right words. “Slam-T is a slam poetry and spoken word organisation open to anyone.” But in all fairness, this does not encompass Slam-T in its entirety. Slam-T is more than an organisation for events—it has grown into a beautiful and meaningful community. It is a safe(r) space, a place where people can connect, not only with each other, but also with words. Even though Slam-T started out as a small idea, the way it was accepted by people and kept growing is something we could have never imagined. And this is mainly because of our audience. The people who show up, listen and share. It’s because of the poets who perform with us, those who take part in the open mics. It’s the artists who have contributed their visual artwork, the photographers and graphic designers.
