Sleep & Dream Foundation

The Sleep & Dream Foundation is a fully registered charity with DGR status, dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families affected by trauma through the healing power of sleep. We believe that restorative sleep is not just essential for recovery but a cornerstone of resilience, emotional regulation, and long-term well-being. Each year, over people in Australia seek refuge from domestic and family violence, including children under the age of 9. Many of these families face disrupted sleep in environments that are not optimized for rest, further compounding the effects of trauma. Our mission is to change that. Our core program, Dreaming Together: Sleep Packs, Education, and Nurturing Shelters for Healing, equips vulnerable children and their carers with the tools and strategies needed to improve sleep and foster emotional stability. Through partnerships with frontline organizations, we have donated over 1,200 Sleep Kits to date, while also delivering trauma-informed sleep workshops and upgrading crisis accommodations into nurturing, sleep-friendly spaces. Our vision is bold: to make sleep a foundational pillar in trauma recovery. We aim to improve every crisis accommodation in Australia, creating environments that support healing and resilience. As we build impact year by year, we are working to expand our transformative programs globally, ensuring every vulnerable child and family has access to the restful sleep they need to heal and thrive.
