Slessor AutoWorld is no more. The facility is currently being leased by the Performance AutoGroup of dealers who are operating it as a Hyundai franchise dealer. The rest of this description is what once was. Slessor AutoWorld is the paramount class act full service dealership located between two major metropolitan centres; Hamilton and St. Catharines. Slessor AutoWorld offers everything to meet automobile needs including sales of used vehicles, financial services, Triton Trailers, and used Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Slessor has a NAPA AUTOPRO Parts Shop, NAPA AUTOPRO Service Centre, and a Paint & Body Shop. Enterprise-Rent-A-Car is also on site. Slessor has been serving Grimsby and surrounding communities since 1955, originally as a Pontiac Buick GMC dealer. It was a family owned and operated dealership, founded by Mr. Robert L. Slessor. Starting with a basic building and staffed by only three people, the business grew to a state-of-the-art square foot full service dealership employing over thirty people. Mr. Slessor passed the business on to his son in 1990 to Mr. Robert E.C. Slessor.
