Small Boss

Small Boss is a dynamic Italian production company specialising in the production of innovative and high-quality documentaries. Over the last ten years we have established ourselves as an internationally recognised reality, with award-winning films selected at the world's most important festivals and broadcast by broadcasters such as RAI, SVT, Al Jazeera, GloboTv, HRT, 2M, France Télévision, RTBF, BBC, RTVE, AL Arabiya. Our catalogue includes a wide range of documentaries covering a variety of topics and reaching a global audience. Small Boss has produced several documentaries in recent years. These include THE LAND YOU BELONG (2023), by Elena Rebeca Carini,(Krakow IFF, Transylvania IFF, Biografilm Festival - Top Doc Award) an Italian-Romanian co-production with the participation of Al Jazeera Documentary and THE TIRANA CONSPIRACY (2024), by Manfredi Lucibello,(Rome Film Festival, Festival dei Popoli). We are finalising our next documentary, THE BROKEN R, by Ricardo Ruales, an international co-production with Ecuador, supported by Ibermedia, IDFA Bertha Fund and Sundance Doc Fund, to be released in early 2025. We are currently developing three new documentaries with European partners: ZERO-EMISSION GUY, in co-production with the German production company Latteplus; SHE GOT GAME, developed with Luna Film; and EGGREGORA, in partnership with the Spanish production company Antivaho Films. All three projects are supported by the Creative Europe Programme. In parallel, we are developing our first feature film, EL CORTE DE ISABEL, supported by Creative Europe and the Piemonte Film Commission, and the stop-motion animated film THE TREASURE OF THE WYRM, in co-production with France and the Czech Republic.
