From its UK origins, Smallprint has developed into a network of franchisees covering Australia, Bulgaria, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Oman, Qatar, South Africa, the UK, the USA. In 2009 the company came second to McDonalds in the category,"Best International Franchise Expansion Programme" at the Franchise Marketing Awards. It was also nominated for the "Express Newspapers Brand Builder" award at the British Franchise Association "Franchisor of the Year" Awards in 2010. Most recently, one of its franchisees was shortlisted for a Franchisee of the Year Award at the 2020 British Franchise Association/HSBC franchise awards.
