Smart career solution is a consultancy firm and social enterprise registered and actively working in Ethiopia since 2021. Our mission is to advance inclusive economic development, predominantly that of youth and women, through enhancing entrepreneurship, micro-enterprise development and sustainable value chains. In order to achieve this, we partner with development actors such as the private companies, civil societies, and the public sector as well as knowledge institutions. As a social enterprise we adopt the principle of exclusivity, sustainability and equity in our business undertakings. Smart services are concentrated in the areas of entrepreneurship skill development, life skills, youth employment, market systems, food and nutrition, cooperative management, feasibility study. Currently, we are working with international NGOs (GIZ, Helveitas, Kefeta USAID project, GOPA and Reach for Change) and GOs (Oromia Pastoralist Association (OPA), Dilla Polytechnic, Yirgalem Polytechnic, Hawassa IPDC, Yirgalem AIP, Dilla RTC, other associate consultants such as Rework Inc and with Ethiopian Youth Network. Smart commits to deliver high-quality professional services in Ethiopia (particularly in SNNPR, Sidama Regions, Addis Ababa Administration) and the company has a national network with EDRI research Center of Ethiopia. Smart engages in initiatives that contribute to youth employment and their soft skill development. The provision of strong soft skill (life skill) especially “Ready for Work, Personal Branding, Entrepreneurship and BDS/Basic Digital Skill” trainings in Ethiopia will pave the way for a more sustainable self employment for entrepreneurial youth with limited opportunities.
