Smart Power Solutions LLP is based in Leeds in the UK and was founded in 2001. It specialises in the design and manufacture of intelligent high-efficiency power electronics systems both for static and rotating applications. We have applied experience and techniques learned working on sophisticated motor drive systems to power supplies, power conditioners and grid tied inverters with great success. We work on high volume cost sensitive applications for automotive and appliance applications as well as lower volume high power applications. On the design side we have 6 professional power electronics oriented engineers backed up by a very well kitted development lab. All of our engineers are degree qualified and several of them have PhDs. We carry out all aspects of design in house including both hardware and software development. We also have in house Electrical Safety and EMC pre-compliance capability as well as extensive functional test capabilities. On the manufacturing side we provide a specialist power oriented capability ranging from sub-assembly work to full system manufacture and test. We typically manufacture systems with powers of between 10kW to 1MW. We have a well established network of suppliers for all necessary components. Being a small company has it's advantages - we work very closely with our customers during all stages of a project and provide a very bespoke service that is highly valued.
