Smart Sense Youth Development

Smart Sense Youth development is a local non-profit organization which provides education and training through leadership and mentor-ship programs to disadvantaged youths in South Africa. South African education is in crisis. Many of our schools have poor facilities and fail to prepare children for life at university or in the workplace. Tragically, those who suffer the most from poor outcomes are black children. This has major implications for transformation and solving issues such as unemployment and poverty in South Africa. Smart Sense targets youth in secondary & high schools in disadvantaged areas in Gauteng province, mostly between the ages of 15 - 20 years, those who are in need of accessible quality education and mentoring support for them to further their dream goals. We believe that by ensuring that our schools provide excellent education is one of the core building blocks in making South Africa a successful society. With a youthful team and our dedicated facilitators, Smart Sense helps around 75 youth at maximum to realize their potential with the programs provided.
