Smart Tax was founded in 2005 by CEO Nick Rizzi, who noticed a void in tax service options, strong customer service, and speed of return in an under-saturated tax preparation segment. After growing Smart Tax to four successful operating locations, Rizzi decided to begin franchising the concept – thus offering the same services in communities nationwide. Built on knowledge, experience, training and years of hard work in financial planning, taxes, insurance, and more, the Smart Tax franchise will launch on January 3, 2010 with 10 locations. Smart Tax is a tax preparation service offering a quick and hassle-free way for its clients to file their taxes each and every year.
