SmartouchMedia is a Dublin City University campus spin-out company. The company was founded in October 2011. The founders are all graduates of the DCU MSc in E-Commerce course. Two of the founders graduated from the technical stream of the course while the other two graduated from the business stream. Smartouch Media is currently based at Invent, which is an on campus incubation centre for high performance tech start-ups. In 2011 the founders were awarded the prestigious ‘Commercialization of University Research’ award, sponsored by Dublin City University Business School and INVENT.
