Valve operations are an essential part of managing and maintaining a water supply system, however they can pose a considerable risk to the network if carried out in an unsafe manner. The industry as a whole understands this issue and many have invested in training and other measures to combat the damaging pressure changes which occur as a result of improper valve operations. SmartValve is an app based product designed to record manual valve operations and update asset data in the potable water network. The system allows valve status to be tracked and updated with designed integration pathways to other internal systems such as GIS and Works Management.
