Smile Box Project

Our mission is simple - to provide as many “smile boxes” to children entering shelters, victims of domestic violence and abuse Each year thousands of children enter shelters across the country for the first time. Statistics show the first night can be the most anxious. By providing the shelters with “smile boxes” free of charge, we aim to help by putting a smile on each child’s face. Remember, some children enter shelters alone. Some enter with their families during difficult times and some entering into Domestic Violence shelters. Whatever the reason is, with your help we hope the boxes provide a sense of comfort and distraction from their current circumstances. We have recently expanded our program to Child Advocacy Centers. The centers offer counseling to children who are victims of abuse. The centers assist law enforcement with interviews with children who are witness’s or victims. Your donation helps us provide these boxes free of charge to the centers.
