Founded in 1972, Smith Fertilizer & Grain (SFG) is a third-generation, family-owned agribusiness serving the farming communities of South Central Iowa. What began as a single-location operation has grown into a multi-division company with more than 80 full-time employees and facilities across Albia, Centerville, Columbia, Melcher-Dallas, Milo, and Pleasantville. SFG provides full-service agricultural solutions in fertilizer, feed, and grain, along with road maintenance and environmental products through our SFG Road Maintenance division.
