Smith & Hall Manufacturing, Inc. is a Class C Corporation established for the benefit of Moore Tech College (Wm. R. Moore College of Technology), located in Memphis, TN. Smith & Hall accepts work projects from customers whose needs match the capabilities of Moore Tech facilities. Moore Tech students perform the labor in behalf of Smith & Hall as paid apprentices under the supervision of professional faculty members. Profits resulting from Smith & Hall projects go directly to Moore Tech College, a private, non-profit institution since 1909. Students benefit from the experience of working on real projects with strict requirements as an important stage of their education while also receiving payment to defray their tuition cost. The college benefits from receipt of 100 percent of the profits created by each Smith & Hall project.
