Smokeye Hill
Settled amongst the boulder-covered formations on a historic cattle ranch in Arizona lies what’s known as Smokeye Hill (pronounced Smoke-EYE). During the American prohibition (1920-1933), when making or consuming alcohol was illegal, the remote location of Smokeye Hill became a safe haven for moonshiners, allowing them to produce and sell moonshine that was in demand as far away as Hollywood. It is said that a prohibition agent with ties to the area would alert the town to their upcoming arrival. Upon the tip, the moonshiners of Smokeye Hill and surrounding areas, hung bells on roaming mules as a way to warn each other of impending lawmen rounding the bend. Must be 21+
