Founded in 1989 by partners Brian Spencer and Randy Maxwell, SMP provides professional services in architecture, planning, urban design, and construction. Philip Partington joined SMP in 2001 and became the firm’s third named partner in 2005. Our expertise lies in a variety of project types, including commercial office, hospitality, retail, mixed-use, land planning, single family and multi-family residential. In addition to new construction, SMP has worked with clients on renovations, additions and rehab/re-use of historic structures. Located throughout the United States, SMP has over 50 hospitality projects in its portfolio that vary in value from $2.5 million to $45 million. We have also completed more than 15 multi-family residential/condominium facility designs valued up to $140 million.
