Snake Planet

Snake Planet runs a snake rescue service in Harare, with professional snake handlers available 27/4 to capture and relocate snakes. We are constructing what will be one of Harare’s must visit attractions, a park that will house the widest variety of snakes in the country, providing visitors a chance to see, handle and learn about snakes in a safe environment. We are dedicated to finding solutions that are beneficial to both snakes and humans as well as secure the future of our country’s 80+ snake species in the midst of today’s rapid development and loss of habitats. Our approach is multi-dimensional, utilizing education to change human perceptions, supporting science to drive conservation action, focusing on local efforts to ensure the sustainability of snake conservation around the country. To maximize our conservation impact, Snake Planet focuses on four snake conservation strategies: Habitat Protection, Outreach, Community Action, and Citizen Science.
