Sobrr Inc. is a tech startup based in San Francisco, CA, composed of UC Berkeley students, alumni, and Silicon Valley veterans. Founded in 2014, Sobrr aims to promote new lifestyles by bringing modern technologies into everyday lives for the millennial generation. With the release of its first mobile app, Sobrr we seek to revolutionize social interaction and communication through mobile apps. Sobrr is a social networking app that allows users to share content and meet new people freely. All contents on Sobrr can only be viewed once, and they expire in 24 hours, regardless whether it has been viewed or not. This allows users to be more spontaneous and less cautious in their user interactions. Sobrr app comes very close to portraying real-life social interactions, as most people do not remember most of what they did or said the day before. Sobrr’s 24-hour friendship feature, which connects users only for a limited period of time, is a revolutionary concept that has never been found in other competitive social networking apps. Sobrr’s goal is to be the app that is solely focused on connecting people in the most worry-free and realistic way by eliminating the unsaid expectation from many of today’s social networking apps that users must continue to interact with each other after they have connected to through the app.
