SoccerFitness is founded by Jens Bangsbo and Casper Skovgaard, and offer seminars, workshops and consultancy services to clubs, federations and coaches to improve the level of fitness in soccer through research based best-practice, state-of-the-art sports technologies and many years of experience in top-level soccer, sports and research environments. Jens is considered a pioneer and world-leading expert within the area of applied physiology. He is the inventor of the “Yo-Yo tests” – the most used tests in the world of team sports – and his ability to translate scientific knowledge into practice is appreciated all over the world. He has been Assistant Coach at the football clubs Atalanta B.C, Juventus FC, AEK Athens, Antalyaspor and the Danish national team. Casper has been Head of Physical Performance for more than 10 years at high-level football clubs such as FC Nordsjælland and Antalyaspor. Casper did his PhD on the effects and periodization of speed endurance training at Team Danmark, the Danish elite sports organization, while also being a Sports Scientist for world-class athletes in Handball, Rowing, Badminton and Ice Hockey. SoccerFitness was founded to unify science, practice and sports technology to improve performance in elite football and create a community where football coaches, clubs and federations seek knowledge, inspiration and network.
