Soccer Wire started as a Mid-Atlantic focused email newsletter titled Potomac Soccer Wire in December, 2006, and has been going strong ever since. The newsletter success was quickly followed with the launch a robust website carrying original news, op-ed, and packaged news provided via press releases from hundreds of soccer focused organizations in the United States. Our unique focus on covering “local” soccer news of most interest to participants, decision makers and influencers within the youth club soccer world is praised by our readers. In June of 2014 we launched the Tri-State Soccer Wire email newsletter covering the states of Connecticut, New Jersey and New York. Simultaneously, we narrowed the general focus of what we cover from “all things American soccer across the USA”, to “Covering all things related to the Player Development Pyramid in the USA – with a particular focus on our newsletter markets in the Potomac and Tri-State Regions”. And in January 2015 we “went national” in launching the Soccer Tournament Wire, a weekly email newsletter that emphasizes our many tournament partners with open registrations, as well as sharing tournament news from SoccerWire.com from the previous week. And in July 2019, we launched the 3rd version of SoccerWire.com, following an enormous investment eclipsing more than we’ve ever spent on all our technology combined. The new site boasts a powerful search engine enabling nearly instantaneous filtering to make it easy to find the nation’s top players, tournaments, leagues, and clubs.
