Social Embers

Social Embers is a Community Interest Company and has been founded to provide information in aspects relating to digital bereavement issues, that have arisen since the arrival of the internet. The company aims to raise awareness of the problems being faced by many legal professionals, who are adminerstering the digital estates of the deceased. We have an awareness of grief and bereavement and can signpost clients to services that can help with digital memorialisation, which is becoming increasingly popular. The majority of adults in the UK use social media as a regular communication tool. Closing or memorialising accounts when we die is not something many of us consider when we open them. Facebook for example has not been operating for a human lifetime yet.
