Social Speech

Social Speech is a speech pathology service for children and adolescents (0-18 years) based on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The name “Social Speech” encompasses how therapy includes functional speech therapy goals to support a child to communicate with others to the best of their potential. I am predominately a mobile service. That means, I come to you! I visit homes, day-care centres, preschools, primary and high schools, group homes and community settings - wherever is appropriate (based on the reason for therapy and associated goals). I provide assessment and therapy for:* speech delays/disorders * language delays * reading and spelling (literacy)* selective mutism * stuttering * emotional regulation * social communication * special interest: Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD Being mobile, provides the opportunity to regularly work - as a team - with families, carers, teachers and other health professionals (e.g. occupational therapists and psychologists). Furthermore, therapy taking place in familiar environments can also assist with the generalisation of skills. I love what I do and you’ll see this in the way I work.
