We work towards our goal every day with intention, but SociBike actually came about by chance. In the beginning, we were still part of the social production company Soci-Com. The owner, Peter Schouten, received an order from a customer to assemble electric cargo bikes. The work was incredibly enjoyable for the employees. Unfortunately, after a while, the manufacturer decided to move in a different direction, but Peter and his team were able to take over the cargo bike. And that’s how our journey began in 2016. The destination: to create an electric cargo bike with a great story. That became the SociBike Compact—a beautiful and powerful bike, yet compact enough to fit through any standard door. Fast forward several years, and we’ve expanded our SociBike family with two additional models: the SociBike Family for larger families (or bigger dogs) and the SociBike Cargo, a chassis that allows you to build your own box on top.
